Exclusive: Honda To Release Civic Convertible For 2015

Marysville, OH - In an effort to expand into currently untapped markets, Honda recently announced the upcoming unveiling of their new Civic convertible. Honda spokesperson Jessica Fini had this to say:

"The Honda brand has become somewhat synonymous with fart cans and decals. We want to distance ourselves from all that stupid shit by offering a new Civic that will bring back the joy of top-down driving to our customers - and give a big fat shocker gesture to those damn ricers."

Inside sources provided us with this spy shot taken of a mule near Marysville. While engine and transmission options remain unclear, sources have confirmed for us that a Mugen Civic convertible may in fact get the green light for 2016. We'll post updates as we get them.

UPDATE: Well, this is embarrassing. Looks like there won't be a Civic convertible after all. Apparently this was just someone's personal project. Regardless, TTV News™ promises to bring you the latest automotive stories, right here at Oppositelock.

Oh god, I know that name as I'm from Ohio, but I can't remember what it's near. It's close to Columbus, right? My brain says by Westerville (which is a stupid name because its frickin east of Columbus.) (I'm joking, I know it was named after someone. My grandparents live there.).

Oh. Mah. Gawd. I just died of laughter.
It wasn't really a suburb as it was an outlying community. And I have lived more of my life in FL, but I still concider OH my true home. My father used to be a producer at the NBC affiliate in Toledo, and worked on UT's student school news channel. It's funny, as my mom graduated from Bowling Green, my dad graduated at UT, and my dads a big OSU fan bit my mom is a big Michigan fan.

Yeah I'm in that area as well. It is nice, but the only cars you see in my are are Altima 2.5 S sinks and base Malibu's, verying years. And that one tan Daewoo sedan that I see around town.

My best friend's mom has a Mustang that isn't a V6 Base auto convertible, so all hope isn't lost. They actually took it to a Mustang owners meet up and got quite a few things signed by Jack Rousch. And I did see an orange R8 spyder GT in a gas station just outside the big mall in Sanford.

Yes, I believe so. I you ever come back and are in the area, there is a really nice Audi dealership right next to that exit. The staff are nice, they let me sit in both of the R8's in the showroom. Down the highway there is a Ferrari/Mazzer dealership as well as a Land Rover one, too. A bit farther down, just after downtown Orlando there is a nice Aston/Jag/Lotus dealership. My gawd the F type is stunning.

I saw "Marysville, OH" and got hopeful, mainly because that's where my '00 Acura 3.2 TL was built, and thought this'd be real... But then I kept reading.
